Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic PA is responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that high-quality diagnostic images are produced. This role requires close collaboration with radiologists to diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize utilization of x-ray services by preparing patients and documentation for diagnostic testing, obtaining EMR charts and orders, and taking patients to the x-ray room.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by performing diagnostic tests, positioning patients, and completing x-ray series.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment by cleaning x-ray rooms, changing linens, and performing regular maintenance on x-ray equipment.
- Perform administrative duties as directed, including answering phones, taking messages, and preparing surgery lists.
Requirements
- One year of experience in radiologic technology preferred.
- Graduation from a Certified Radiologic Technology program.
- CRT and ARRT Certification.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Ability to conduct quality control studies and use computerized radiologic equipment.

- Strong interpersonal abilities and excellent telephone skills.
- Maintains confidentiality and knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and basic health and safety precautions.
- Service orientation and ability to relate sensitively to patients' needs.
