Position Overview:
The Patient Access Representative 2 is responsible for a variety of essential tasks within a medical office setting. This role involves gathering necessary patient information for billing and reimbursement processes, utilizing advanced computer systems for scheduling and registration, and ensuring exceptional customer service in alignment with the mission and goals of Heartland Community Health Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support across all Heartland locations as needed.
2. Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously, maintaining awareness of all individuals entering the facility.
3. Answer phone calls in a professional manner, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
4. Update and verify patient demographic and billing information to ensure accuracy in the practice management system.
5. Conduct patient interviews to confirm identification, insurance details, and medical records.
6. Process payments and reconcile daily collections with reports.
7. Schedule patient appointments according to departmental guidelines and follow up with reminders.
8. Assist with pre-registration for new patients and those with insurance updates.
9. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Compensation:
$17-20 per hour
