Role Responsibilities:
The Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean and safe environment within the facility, significantly contributing to infection control. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing daily, isolation, and discharge cleaning of patient areas in accordance with established cleaning protocols.
  • Cleaning and relocating medical equipment in both patient and outpatient areas as per guidelines.
  • Conducting terminal cleaning of various rooms following the prescribed cleaning procedures.
  • Executing scheduled cleaning of non-patient areas.
  • Responding promptly to specific cleaning requests, especially urgent ones.
  • Collecting and transporting soiled linens, trash, recycling, and infectious waste while adhering to proper disposal methods.
  • Vacuuming and maintaining carpeted areas, performing both light and deep cleaning as scheduled.
  • Wet/dry mopping and machine scrubbing of common areas, including floor finishing tasks.
  • Laundering cleaning supplies and cubicle curtains as needed.
