Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Corporate Attorney to join our team at Performance Contracting Group. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel and guidance to our company branches nationwide.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will serve as the primary legal contact for our company, managing outside counsel and overseeing all matters related to litigation and regulatory compliance. You will also be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements, including subcontracts, purchase orders, and master contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary legal contact for company branches nationwide
  • Manage outside counsel on all matters of litigation or regulatory compliance
  • Oversee and execute legal duties related to joint ventures, claims, mitigation of risk, government contracts, and day-to-day legal items
  • Draft, review, interpret, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements
  • Counsel company branches on legal implications of commercial and operational matters
  • Develop, implement, and present training programs for operations and corporate personnel
  • Perform records and legal research
  • Work in conjunction with various internal departments to identify and address legal and business issues

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a legal role
  • License to practice law
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to an evolving work environment
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proven track record of being proficient in litigation and handling claims
  • Ability to maintain high quality work output in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and proactively on multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Federal Compliance and/or Government Contracting experience
  • Employment/Labor law and/or Corporate Governance experience

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus a bonus plan, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), 401(k) retirement savings plan with match, medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance plans with flexible spending account option, life insurance, accidental death and disability benefits, and an employee assistance program (EAP).
