Job Summary

Are you a skilled CDL driver looking for a stable and rewarding career? CPC Logistics is currently hiring full-time Class A CDL truck drivers to join our Private Fleet Operations group in Fort Smith, AR.

As a Class A CDL driver with CPC Logistics, you will be responsible for making night haul runs from Fort Smith, AR to Dallas, TX and back. This is a Monday-Friday position with daily home time, allowing you to balance your driving time with quality home time.

Job Duties

* Inspect your truck and trailer for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips, and submit a written report on the condition of the truck and trailer at the end of each trip or tour of duty.
* Drop and hook trailers from the tractor itself.
* Strap and tarp loads.
* Perform lifting, pulling, and pushing of product weighing up to 75 pounds.
* Check shipping papers to determine the nature of product being transported, destination, or delivery location and/or any special unloading instructions.
* Check for proper preparation of shipping papers, agreements, and special markings/labeling when hazardous materials are present.
* Use your truck computer to monitor DOT compliance and delivery and pickup information.

Drive your truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations, normally in periods of up to 11 hours of driving followed by an off-duty period of at least 10 consecutive hours.

* Ensure all shipping documentation required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered.
* Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver's logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other documents required by law. This also includes the use of a truck computer for monitoring hours of service and delivery information.
* Report all accidents involving you, company equipment, and/or private property. Report all safety hazards.

Professional representation of the company and the trucking industry through practicing responsible, safe, and defensive driving techniques.

Job Requirements

* Valid and current CDL
* Minimum of 23 years old
* Good safety record
* Minimum 2 years 100,000 miles verifiable experience
* Reasonably stable work history
* Ability to meet all DOT requirements

Compensation & Benefits

* Wages: $17.25 per hour, 40 hour week guarantee, OT after 40 hours
* Dedicated Routes
* Annual earnings from $55,000 to $70,000
