Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a skilled Seasonal Truck Driver to join our team for the busy season. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting agricultural products to customers across the United States and around the world.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and operate trucks and railcars for loading and unloading, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
  • Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks, regularly inspecting in-use equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
  • Deliver products to customer sites in a safe, timely, and professional manner, ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Keep all work areas and vehicles in a clean, orderly, and safe condition, conducting regular housekeeping duties.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and warehouse work, including driving a loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance.
  • Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL
  • Meet minimum age requirement
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintain or obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred
  • Agriculture background preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and into the back of a trailer
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
