Percussion Educator

LADGOV CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Percussion Instructor to provide one-on-one and group percussion instruction to Navy and Marine Corps musicians. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Music in Music Education and/or Performance, with a minimum of three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will be proficient in both classical and commercial music styles, with the ability to carry musical instruments up to 40 pounds. The role will involve conducting weekly lessons, each lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes, as well as performing administrative tasks, including updating instructional materials and maintaining student records. The successful candidate will also be responsible for administering proficiency assessments for students, developing lesson plans to address students' strengths and weaknesses, and utilizing NAVSOM's curriculum in classical, jazz, and commercial music styles. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare students for performance assessments and develop and deliver remedial training for students with substandard performance.
