Job Description:
This Prep Cook position prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The essential duties include obtaining daily production schedules and preparation requirements from the Chef, preparing items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes, completing and following daily production worksheets and waste log sheets, tasting completed meals to ensure quality, operating and cleaning equipment per department procedures after each use, storing, labeling, and dating all food items according to policy, following HACCP guidelines, completing all required documentation, reports, and logs as required, complying with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures, taking orders from customers and preparing items requiring short preparation time, serving customers in an efficient and friendly manner, completing orders from steam tables and grill and serving customers at multiple stations, using approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control, operating and cleaning equipment per department procedures after each use, storing, labeling, and dating all food items according to policy, following HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply, resolving customer concerns, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in food preparation or a related field. However, previous experience is not required. This position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to learn and take direction.
