Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Damage Prevention Specialist II to join our team at Liberty. As a key member of our safety and compliance team, you will be responsible for conducting investigations on excavation-related damages to our subsurface installations, identifying and marking the location of our utilities, and implementing our Damage Prevention Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations on excavation-related damages and document findings
  • Identify and mark the location of our utilities to minimize damage or disruption of service
  • Implement our Damage Prevention Program, including performing patrols, locates, and construction and excavation inspections
  • Conduct proactive outreach to excavators, including licensed contractors, public works departments, and homeowners
  • Provide leadership and supervision to team members as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of utility or related experience, including damage prevention, public safety, and investigations
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office
  • 2+ years of experience in conducting complex investigations
  • Supervisory experience is an asset
