Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Production Control Specialist to support the Trident Navigation program and initiatives related to product and material management.
About the Role- Assist procurement specialists and engineers with material purchase requisitions and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Track and manage received materials, work-in-progress, repairs, returns, and outbound shipments to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
- Manage and maintain staging areas, inventory-controlled stock rooms, and material distribution databases to ensure accurate and efficient material flow.
- Coordinate and support material inspections of contract end-item deliverables with internal quality teams and US Navy customers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with management, engineering, and quality teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved per baselined schedules and budgets.
- Support and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify process improvement opportunities for existing procedures and departmental operations to enhance efficiency and productivity.
You will provide production control support to a diverse cross-functional group of operations and engineering professionals across multiple programs within the Trident Navigation portfolio.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.
- Experience in tracking received materials, WIP, inventory control, and distribution, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with performing transactions in a MRP system (P2P and SAP preferred).
- Ability to analyze large amounts of material data and effectively communicate key takeaways to management and other functions.
- Job requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results with minimal oversight.
- Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.).
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as bill of materials and drawing parts lists.
