RN specializing in Med Surg for a travel nursing opportunity.

Position Overview:
Specialty: Med Surg
Discipline: RN
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: 12 hours, NOC

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and analyze patients' medical histories, test results, and treatment protocols.
2. Monitor vital signs including heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.
3. Interpret and document data from advanced medical technologies and equipment.
4. Administer medications and execute treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
5. Maintain and update patient records and medical documentation.
6. Educate Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment methodologies.
7. Collaborate with healthcare specialists to report any changes in patient conditions.
8. Communicate test results and procedures to patients and their families, addressing any inquiries.
9. Guide patients on post-hospital care, including medication adherence, home care strategies, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
2. Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
3. Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) credential.
4. 3-5 years of experience in telemetry nursing within a similar specialty.
5. Strong expertise in interpreting data from specialized medical equipment.
6. Proficient in patient management systems and recordkeeping.
7. Advanced skills in medication administration and treatment interventions.
8. Ability to consult with healthcare specialists and mentor telemetry unit staff.
9. Comprehensive understanding of healthcare best practices and medical documentation.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills to support and guide patients and their families.
