Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lead Cook to join our team at Wells County Jail in Bluffton, IN.

The ideal candidate will have a strong character, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a structured environment.

As a Lead Cook, you will be responsible for leading, instructing, and assisting with meal preparations, including food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up.

Key qualifications include:

  • Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment.
  • Ability to read and follow company recipes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts - days and hours (between 9:00am - 6:00pm).
