- Prepare and manage clinic staff schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient patient flow.
- Review and approve staffing levels, overtime, and schedule changes, collaborating with the Clinical Nurse Manager as needed.
- Reconcile and approve staff payroll, as well as approve or decline requests for time off.
- Perform annual reviews, disciplinary actions, and off-boarding processes, evaluating the performance of nurses, medical assistants, and other clinic staff under their supervision.
- Provide nursing support for clinical sessions, including triage, access, and case management.
- Monitor and coordinate orders for supplies and medications with the HHSI purchasing team as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by monitoring and coordinating monthly compliance logs.
- Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager in developing and implementing educational programs for nurses and staff.
- On-board and train new staff as needed, ensuring a smooth transition and effective integration into the team.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager to complete annual clinical competencies for staff.
- Attend meetings as needed and assist in budgeting processes and variance reporting.
- Coordinate team meetings with Practice leadership and monitor needs for repairs and replacement of equipment.
- Precept nursing and medical assistant students as needed, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, preferred.
- Current Massachusetts RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting, providing direct nursing care, and experience managing staff, preferred.
- Experience in community health and/or ambulatory settings, preferred.
- Basic computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) EPIC/OCHIN, preferred.
- Experience in case management and excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a team setting and independently.
- Ability to work effectively with economically, racially, and linguistically diverse customers, bilingual (English and Vietnamese, Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole) a plus.
