Job Title: Texas Works Advisor I

Job Summary:

The Texas Works Advisor I will be responsible for interviewing applicants and recipients to determine financial eligibility for public assistance. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interview applicants and recipients to obtain pertinent financial and personal information
  • Evaluate data from various electronic and other sources to determine eligibility
  • Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determination
  • Process work in accordance with state and federal regulations and established procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to learn and apply detailed regulations and policies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
