The Behavioral Health Technician/Unit Secretary is essential in providing care and support within the behavioral health department. This role involves collaborating with nursing personnel and the Director of Behavioral Health Services to maintain the safety and welfare of patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and document patient requirements and behaviors.
- Engage in the development and implementation of treatment strategies.
- Assist with administrative duties related to unit operations.
Qualifications
- Preferred: High School Diploma.
- Experience: Less than 2 years in a similar role as a Behavioral Health Technician.
- Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is mandatory.
- Certification: CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
