Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Lactalis. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mozzarella packaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate information to optimize department performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, GSP, and QC policies and procedures, and maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve production goals and objectives.
  • Participate in budgeting and goal-setting processes to drive departmental success.
  • Monitor personnel levels and ensure adequate staffing to meet production demands.
  • Complete records and charting as required, and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with shift supervisors, sanitation supervisor, and other stakeholders to address issues and concerns.
  • Conduct regular department meetings to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Perform administrative and managerial duties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Responsible for hiring, scheduling, and training of department staff, including temporary personnel as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Maintain open communication with all employees, including department managers.
  • Implement special projects and procedures as directed by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business Administration or dairy science preferred.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
