Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Engineer to join our team at Essel. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will be responsible for conducting Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, multi-media sampling, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and investigations following ASTM standards
  • Perform multi-media sampling, including soil, soil vapor, groundwater, indoor air, methane, surface water, sediment, and other media
  • Prepare lithological logs and boring logs
  • Write reports and prepare supporting documentation
  • Develop vapor intrusion mitigation system conceptual and detailed designs under the supervision of a California Registered Professional Engineer
  • Manage small to mid-scale projects and provide support on larger projects
  • Communicate project status, schedules, and compliance issues with clients, third parties, and regulatory agencies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of related environmental experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer programs, including AutoCAD, Surfer, and/or ArcGIS
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training preferred
  • Professional certification (PE/PG) preferred
  • Knowledge of remediation systems and vapor intrusion mitigation systems preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
