We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Engineer to join our team at Essel. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will be responsible for conducting Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, multi-media sampling, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and investigations following ASTM standards
- Perform multi-media sampling, including soil, soil vapor, groundwater, indoor air, methane, surface water, sediment, and other media
- Prepare lithological logs and boring logs
- Write reports and prepare supporting documentation
- Develop vapor intrusion mitigation system conceptual and detailed designs under the supervision of a California Registered Professional Engineer
- Manage small to mid-scale projects and provide support on larger projects
- Communicate project status, schedules, and compliance issues with clients, third parties, and regulatory agencies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of related environmental experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer programs, including AutoCAD, Surfer, and/or ArcGIS
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training preferred
- Professional certification (PE/PG) preferred
- Knowledge of remediation systems and vapor intrusion mitigation systems preferred
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
