A. POSITION RELATIONSHIPS

B. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to conduct comprehensive needs assessments for program services. A strong understanding of client population needs is essential. Familiarity with agency and federal regulations, as well as diagnostic criteria, is required. Knowledge of advocacy systems and crisis intervention methods is crucial. Effective communication skills with diverse populations are necessary, along with expertise in individual and group therapy techniques. The candidate should be knowledgeable about various therapeutic models and medication effects, as well as behavioral standards.

Advanced clinical skills are required, including the ability to develop and implement treatment or behavioral plans to address crises and deliver services. The candidate must prioritize goals and objectives for assigned programs and provide guidance in policy and procedure development. Oversight of compliance with regulations and knowledge of DSM-IV criteria is essential. The ability to interpret psychosocial assessments and create measurable treatment goals is necessary, along with skills in making appropriate referrals and facilitating family support groups.

Knowledge of confidentiality policies and the ability to identify and overcome potential obstacles through effective interviewing and documentation are critical. The candidate should demonstrate culturally sensitive interviewing techniques and coordinate services across various community resources. Knowledge of regulatory agencies and the audit process is important, as is the ability to evaluate staff performance and complete employee evaluations.

Entry qualifications include a Master's Degree with licensure and three years of relevant postgraduate experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity, or a Master's Degree with three years of experience in a comparable role.

C. EQUIPMENT USAGE:

Knowledge of safe and effective use of treatment and emergency equipment is required.

D. BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN CATEGORY:

Employee performs tasks with no exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

E. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Direct care training is mandatory.

The Licensed Social Services Coordinator will provide psychosocial support to individuals, families, or vulnerable populations coping with chronic, acute, or terminal conditions, as well as physical or developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include:

  1. Acting as an advocate for clients to coordinate necessary services and resolve crises.
  2. Administering and coordinating specialized program services.
  3. Counseling clients in individual and group settings to assist in overcoming dependencies and adjusting to life changes.
  4. Monitoring and documenting client progress according to established treatment plans.
  5. Referring clients or families to community resources to facilitate recovery and access to additional services.
