Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Cardiac Prep and Recovery to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth preparation and recovery of patients undergoing cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult patients undergoing cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures
  • Prepare patients for and recover patients after procedures, administering medications and performing procedural documentation as needed
  • Administer conscious sedation to patients undergoing transesophageal echo procedures and monitor patients undergoing cardiac stress tests, tilt table tests, and cardioversions
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and patient families regarding patient condition and provide emotional support as needed
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory, and participate in departmental performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state of Missouri RN licensure required
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required and maintained
  • Prior medical-surgical experience preferred
