Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our breast imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select technical factors to obtain optimal quality scans
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment and assist physicians with recommendations for optimal studies
  • Secure patient history and provide radiologists with pertinent information
  • Maintain patient records and prepare patient folders for proper preservation
  • Stay up-to-date with current ultrasound skills and new developments in the field
Requirements
  • Graduation from a program approved by ARDMS
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by ARDMS within 3 months
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by AHA within 6 months
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be exposed to radiation and may be required to lift patients or equipment. A valid driver's license is not required for this position.
