Job Overview

The Welstone at Mission Crossing is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold menu items, including meats, vegetables, and desserts.
  • Ensure the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
  • Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and handling procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective meal preparation and service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of production methods, portion control, and food handling safety procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to work weekends and flexible scheduling as needed.
