About the Role:

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in Altoona, PA. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality cancer care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
  • Obtain localization images according to planned treatment delivery
  • Assist physician or nurse in the administration of contrast agents used during treatment localization
  • Perform measurements for use during treatment calculation
  • Collect and document data acquired during the simulation procedure
  • Accurately input treatment-related data into the verify-and-record system

Requirements:

  • Completion of a formal radiation therapy technology program in a JRCERT-accredited institution
  • ARRT Registration in good standing or Board Eligibility within six months of hire
  • Maintain 24 CEU's per Biennium as required for ARRT Certification and Licensure
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of beginning employment
