Aveanna Healthcare Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Job

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to provide high-quality patient care to pediatric patients in the home setting.

Job Overview:

The LPN/LVN is responsible for delivering and documenting skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physician orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner
  • Participate in and update the nursing care plan
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention, implementing care to prevent risk or reduce risk
  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act
  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient according to OSHA standards
  • Educate patients and families regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patient's nursing needs

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
  • One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
  • Home health experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
