Job Title: PRN Occupational/Hand Therapist

At OrthoCarolina, we're committed to providing exceptional patient care and a positive work environment. We're seeking a skilled PRN Occupational/Hand Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational/Hand Therapist to work on an as-needed basis in our therapy offices in the greater Charlotte area. As a PRN Occupational/Hand Therapist, you'll be responsible for providing assessment and treatment programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach their maximum performance level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients and establish appropriate patient care plans to include necessary modalities, procedures, exercise programs, and patient education.
  • Communicate patient evaluations and progress to physicians and other referral sources in a timely manner.
  • Perform documentation in a legible, accurate, and timely manner, including evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, patient/family education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges as needed.
  • Provide appropriate supervision to support staff and students involved in administering care to patients.
  • Work with patients and families regarding provision of care needed in the home and recommend solutions to patient care problems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science, Master's Certificate, or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years of experience in Hand therapy preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Occupational therapy licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • Evidence of ongoing continuing education in clinical areas, especially hand therapy.
  • Strong splinting skills.
