As a Government Affairs Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing work of our government affairs team, conducting policy research and assessments, monitoring legislative and regulatory policymaking processes, and developing internal briefing materials for company executives.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Senior Director of Government Affairs and external partners, gaining valuable experience in policy analysis and development.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Policy Analysis: Conduct policy research and assessments to identify key issues affecting Peak Energy's business and the energy storage industry.
  • Briefing Materials Development: Develop high-quality briefing materials, including memos, presentations, and fact sheets, to support company decision making and strategy.
  • Grant Support: Identify and review grant and other funding opportunities to advance the installation of Peak's energy storage products, research and development, and other elements of the business.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our government affairs team, external partners, and company executives to achieve common goals.

**Requirements:**

  • Enrollment in or recent graduate from a college, community college, advanced degree, or similar training program.
  • Demonstrated interest, coursework, or experience in energy policy, renewable energy, batteries, climate change, or trade.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write for external audiences with clarity and concision.
  • Self-motivated working style with comfort working in a remote team environment.
  • Capability to use Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
