At Allstate, we're looking for a talented 3L Law student to join our Client Litigation Services (CLS) Department as a Senior Consultant I (3L Law Clerk). CLS represents policyholders in claims-related litigation/disputes across the country, and we're seeking someone to assist in preparing pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and summarizing research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review new file assignments and draft initial pleadings and discovery
  • Prepare briefs to assist clients in presenting cases in small claims court
  • Draft responses to discovery demands
  • Assist clients in answering questions regarding discovery
  • Review and serve responses to discovery demands
  • Assist attorneys in preparing materials for trial, arbitration, or mediation

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (Required)
  • 2024-2025 3L Law student; awaiting bar results

  • Foundational skills/abilities/experiences in legal knowledge, business knowledge, issue management, analytical skills, influencing others, coaching and development, self-development, and productivity
  • Technical skills including MS Office suite
  • Project management skills and law firm/vendor management
  • Foundational legal and business knowledge
  • Foundational analytical skills

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $62,800.00 - 114,175.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
