The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department seeks a detail-oriented and analytical professional to serve as a Pharmacy Technician. Key Responsibilities- Assist with monitoring and reporting on departmental business processes, activities, and outcomes
- Perform designated segments of projects or programs with well-defined objectives, including data collection, synthesis of data, and documentation of findings and recommendations
- Conduct research, participate in interviews, administer surveys, and assist in the facilitation of focus groups
- Measure and analyze indicators of performance, quality, quantity, and efficiency of services
- Compile and provide business information to management
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field related to the assigned functional area
- Four years of increasingly complex technical experience in the assigned functional area, comparable to experience at the Admin Assistant IV, or higher, level
- Prior experience working in emergency medicine or directly with EMS agencies
- Prior experience working as a pharmacy technician in a dynamic and fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with the medications and protocols used in pre-hospital emergency care
- Strong clinical knowledge, especially in pharmacotherapy relevant to emergency and critical care settings
- Understanding federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmaceutical storage, distribution, and use in emergency settings
