About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at GE Aerospace. As an Apprentice Machinist, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing of Aircraft Engine Parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate computer-controlled machines to perform progressive machining operations.
  • Read and understand operation sheets, operational sketches, and blueprints.
  • Deburr and polish hardware.
  • Troubleshoot quality problems.
  • Perform in-process checks and inspections.
  • Run re-cuts or rework after setup.
  • Work within a team to meet operational targets.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of related experience in manufacturing or a 2-year degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with computer systems such as Outlook, Common Shop Floor, XMI, and Shop Floor menu applications.
  • Ability to use simple blueprints, arithmetic, and precision measuring instruments.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
