The University of Florida Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Labor and Delivery department. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to mothers and newborns, utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse.
You will be responsible for performing all staff nurse activities and functioning as a charge nurse when assigned. This includes maintaining overall accountability for assigned patients, even though some activities may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters.
Assignments will be performed appropriately to the age and developmental level of patients being served. All team members will be expected to work all areas of their unit, including Mother Baby, Labor and Delivery, and Normal Nursery.
Qualifications- Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
- BLS from the American Heart Association is required for all areas
- ACLS certification is required for all current employees and must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- NRP certification is required for all current employees and must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- STABLE certification is required for all current employees and must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- 1 year of clinical experience
- BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing
The University of Florida Health is a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery department, you will be working in a team-based environment with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
You will be expected to work all areas of the unit, including Mother Baby, Labor and Delivery, and Normal Nursery. This may include working night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
