Echocardiography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.

• Set up and adjust imaging equipment to perform exams, ensuring accurate and high-quality results.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Perform routine and complex studies, assisting in a variety of imaging procedures as needed.
• Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure optimal image quality.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring accurate patient data and history.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and other designated areas.

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• One or more of the following certifications: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist, Registered Radiologic Technologist, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Medical Sonographer.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
