Laboratory Trainee

Position Overview

The Laboratory Trainee is responsible for executing routine laboratory upkeep activities, which encompass the cleaning of glassware, verification of instruments, calibration tasks, and preparation of solutions. This role involves receiving incoming chemicals and managing the chemical inventory effectively. Specific responsibilities are clearly outlined through established work instructions for each task within the job rotation. This job description does not limit management's authority to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and log incoming samples while ensuring compliance with testing specifications.
• Assist the Laboratory Coordinator with sample submissions and the evaluation of laboratory testing capabilities as required.
• Participate in training initiatives and contribute to task forces aimed at enhancing company procedures or operations.
• Support analysts in conducting routine physical and chemical analyses of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples.
• Document analytical findings in alignment with cGMP regulations.
• Employ various analytical chemistry techniques and wet chemical methods.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Maintain the ability to be present at the job location during the assigned shift.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.
• Successfully complete all job-related tests and certifications required for operation in a cGMP, quality-focused environment, including inspections and GMP standards. Annual re-qualification on all job-related tests and certifications is mandatory as job requirements evolve.
