Job Summary

Warn Automotive is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support our electrical needs through installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment, fixtures, and systems. This role involves completing electrical preventative maintenance and TPM projects, performing electrical repairs and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of facility and production equipment, fixtures, and systems, and demonstrating initiative to learn new programming software as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely and without injury.
  • Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Perform assigned work in compliance with National Electric Code.
  • Maintain electrical log of new construction work performed.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, and machines to perform duties.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Review work requests for electrical repairs and maintenance, determine the nature of the problem, and recommend an appropriate solution.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform required preventive maintenance actions.
  • Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  • May perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
  • May perform non-certified welding and simple machining operations incidental to repair and maintenance tasks.
  • May do limited carpentry and painting.
  • May have assigned duties in carrying out the hazardous materials program.
  • May participate in Warn Automotive's Selection Process.
  • Participate in team meetings as required.
  • Implement the Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • Program PLCs and incorporate them into a project.
  • Use personal computer window applications to perform job functions and team communications.
  • Ability to understand control systems and manufacturing machinery.
  • Ability to identify root cause and recommend improvements if needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on CNC machine tools and may be asked to troubleshoot to higher levels if needed.
  • Positively engage with engineering when asked to assist with automation projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years of Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrical experience preferred.
  • Current State of Oregon Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant License or State of Oregon General Journeyman License is required.
  • Two-year technical school in control systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to program PLCs.
  • Ability to use personal computer window applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery to a basic level as well as to troubleshoot to the component level if needed.
  • Ability to positively interact in a professional manner with other employees.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and visitors.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to facilitate activities necessary to a project's completion.
