Job Title: Industrial Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygienist to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct industrial hygiene risk assessments and monitoring to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Determine, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of engineering, administrative, and personal protective equipment controls to reduce employee exposure risks.
  • Provide technical consultation as the subject matter expert to the preconstruction risk assessment program, hazardous materials management program, and department leaders.
  • Conduct Environment of Care and safety rounds, track compliance trends, and provide recommendations for safety process improvements.
  • Develop programs to reduce/eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses through data analysis, incident investigations, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Develop and deliver safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with existing regulatory agencies, including required permits and compliance reporting.
Requirements:
  • Required bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety engineering, or a similar field.
  • Required 3 years related experience.
