Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Learning Design and Technology

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Villanova University's College of Professional Studies. The successful candidate will have expertise in Learning Design and Technology and be able to develop and teach a course in a fully online certificate program.

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise learning solutions and be able to bring knowledge and skills related to various evaluation models, principles, and practices used to determine if an online course is effectively meeting its stated learning goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop learning goals and objectives
  • Select readings and other course materials
  • Record videos
  • Develop assessments including quizzes, exams, discussion board posts, writing assignments and projects
  • Create detailed course development document that the learning experience designer can use to build the course in the LMS
  • Create syllabus
  • Create facilitator guide for future instructors with sample activities
  • Participate in regular meetings with CPS staff
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field
  • Experience developing and teaching online courses
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and theories
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specific knowledge of Blackboard, Canvas, and instructional design tools as well as web conferencing platforms
  • Experience recording video and/or audio content for online courses
