Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our team. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. You will also manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality tax service, identifying and mitigating tax risks through careful planning and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Review of Tax Returns: Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Client Management: Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality tax service.
  • Tax Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks through careful planning and analysis.
  • Client Communication: Coordinate and communicate with client personnel to gather tax information and resolve tax-related issues.
  • Staying Current with Tax Legislation: Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and advise clients accordingly.
  • IRS Audit Defense: Assist with IRS audit defense, including preparing responses and creating schedules.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor junior members of the tax team (if needed).
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Masters in Taxation or CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
  • Skills: Experience with tax returns for individuals and businesses (1040, 1065, 1120, etc.).
