Role Summary
The Senior Culinary Services Supervisor is responsible for guiding food service personnel in accordance with established quality standards. Key responsibilities include monitoring food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, processing payments through a computerized register, and adhering to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols. Exceptional customer service and effective communication with patrons and team members are essential. The role requires the ability to foster positive working relationships.
Responsibilities may involve operating various equipment, including grills, beverage dispensers, toasters, cash registers, and dishwashers. Experience in the food service industry is preferred.
The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently when necessary and possess a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. The role demands the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and cover considerable distances.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions, as well as perform basic math. A minimum of two years of experience in food service is preferred, along with previous leadership experience. On-the-job training will be provided. Depending on the location, completion of a Diet Therapy Class and passing related exams may be required.
Serv Safe certification may also be necessary within a specified timeframe, typically one year, depending on the hiring location.
