About the Role
Provider Solutions & Development is seeking a skilled Surgical Physician Assistant to join its team in a General Surgery setting. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient histories and physical examinations in the office and hospital setting, including new patients, follow-ups, pre/post-operative care, and consultations.
- Manage patient care, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, medications, and other treatments as needed.
- Perform in-office procedures, such as minor surgeries, anorectal exams, and manometry.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in daily patient rounds, education, and discharge summaries.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant, with preference for robotic training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, with a focus on patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
