About the Role:
We are looking for a Caregiver to join our team. As a DSP, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Your goal will be to foster increased independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety needs are met at all times. You will also administer site training to new hires, assist with shift coverage as needed, supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their life, complete various household tasks, including meal preparation, and maintain a clean and safe living environment. Additionally, you will provide personal care assistance.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Administer site training to new hires.
  • Assist with shift coverage as needed.
  • Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their life.
  • Complete various household tasks, including meal preparation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Provide personal care assistance.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
  • A valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
  • No more than 6 points in the last two years on your motor vehicle record.
  • The ability to push, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs. and climb, balance, kneel, and crouch.
  • Experience in the field of developmental disabilities or direct care is preferred but not required.
