About the Role

Drees Homes, a leading family-owned home building company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent Trainee to join our team. As a Construction Superintendent Trainee, you will assist an experienced Construction Superintendent in our Townhomes Division, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge of the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the progress and quality of all jobs under construction
  • Set and maintain high standards of performance by subcontractors and suppliers
  • Control costs by managing material usage
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer questions about the building process
  • Participate in subdivision and model maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety requirements
  • Create punch lists for framing, mechanical, and insulation
  • Utilize internal software/systems to track job progress

Requirements

  • 2-4 year college degree in Construction Management or related field
  • 2-4 years of construction-related experience (internship, short-term position, etc.)
  • Experience using an iPad is a plus
  • Passion for homebuilding and a drive to succeed
