GENERAL FUNCTION

The Retail Operations Leader serves as a pivotal figure in the absence of, or in collaboration with, the Store Manager, embodying the essence of a business owner within both the marketplace and the LensCrafters framework.

This role represents LensCrafters as the foremost destination for all vision-related needs in the community, driving key performance indicators (KPIs) to success.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhances quality and performance to surpass all key performance indicators (KPIs):
o Comparable Sales, Percentage Sales to Plan; Conversion Rates & Customer Counts, Growth in Comparables; Increased Foot Traffic; Store Profitability; Continuity of Care, Growth & Retention of Exams; Net Promoter Score; Objectives for the current year

  • Comprehensive understanding of retail operations leading to positive sales outcomes and insights into market dynamics & competitors
  • Supports the store's strategic plans to optimize sales & profitability
  • Collaborates with the store manager to mentor & develop the team
  • Provides clear, constructive, and timely feedback while partnering with the Store Manager on team development
  • Implements visual merchandising directives and upholds store aesthetics
  • Maintains a constructive working relationship with healthcare professionals
  • Encourages team adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Handles administrative responsibilities
  • Works a flexible schedule, including evenings & weekends

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year management/supervisory experience with direct reports
  • Understanding of retail operations, processes & policies
  • Strong foundational math skills
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers & calculators
  • Proficient command of the English language for all written and verbal communication
  • Effective communicator & attentive listener
  • Demonstrated high-level selling abilities
  • Proven problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within retail & customer service sectors
  • Knowledge of basic optical principles
  • Familiarity with current store inventory
  • State licensure (if applicable) &/or ABO Certification in non-licensed regions
  • Brand Final Inspector Certification
  • Brand Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program
