Position Overview:

The Truck Driver role is a critical safety-sensitive position responsible for the transportation of aggregates and asphalt to various job sites. Drivers will encounter diverse conditions and equipment while executing their duties. It is essential for drivers to operate their assigned vehicles safely and deliver excellent customer service. Regular inspections of equipment are mandatory, with any issues reported to supervisors or mechanics.

Travel Requirements:

For travel exceeding 50 miles from the home base requiring overnight stays, a generous per diem will be provided to help cover lodging and meal expenses.

Available Trucking Positions:

- Belly Dump: Currently dispatched from Ehrenburg, AZ. Willingness to travel is necessary.
- Dump Truck: Local position; willingness to travel is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with all safety regulations and policies, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding site access, unloading, and operations at job sites.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles; report any defects or required repairs to the maintenance department or supervisor.
  • Adhere to all DOT, state, and local traffic laws and regulations while safely operating all equipment.
  • Operate additional heavy machinery and perform other construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Prioritize safety by complying with all DOT and company safety policies and standards.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Be prepared for night shifts and weekend work as required.
  • Extended travel and work outside of town may be necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to speak, read, understand, and write in English.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement or the capability to obtain one is required.
  • A valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate is mandatory.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is essential.
  • An acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy is required.
  • Experience in asphalt paving is preferred but not necessary; training will be provided.
