Activities Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Responsibilities- Evaluate resident interests and preferences to develop personalized Life Skills programs
- Design and implement Life Skills activities that cater to each resident's unique needs and abilities
- Engage residents in Life Skills activities throughout the day and evening, promoting socialization and community building
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of Life Skills programming supplies and materials
- As applicable, assist residents with daily care of animals and/or plants as part of the Life Skills program
- One year of experience working with memory-impaired seniors
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification(s) may be required per state regulations
- Ability to motivate and encourage residents, adapt Life Skills to cognitive and functional abilities
- Inspire and motivate volunteers and fellow team members to engage residents in meaningful activities
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Competent in written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and decision-making
- Ability to work semi-independently, following community procedures and guidelines
- Basic proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new applications
