The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for maintaining and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment in a sterile environment. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment in a sterile environment
* Work closely with the Sterile Processing Supervisor to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
* Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure timely delivery of instruments and equipment
* Perform quality control checks on instruments and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 1-2 years of experience in a sterile processing environment preferred
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic knowledge of surgical instruments and medical equipment
