Job Title: Feed Truck Driver

Heartland Co-op is seeking a reliable and skilled Feed Truck Driver to join our team. As a Feed Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting feed to and from various locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a truck with a capacity of over 3 tons to transport feed to and from specified destinations.
  • Maintain accurate truck logs, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors to receive delivery instructions and updates.
  • Load and unload feed from the truck, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle, including daily pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Assist the Feed Mill Operator with operational duties as needed, promoting an efficient production schedule.
  • Ensure the truck maintains a positive image of Heartland Co-op by keeping it clean and well-maintained.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with proper endorsements and commercial insurability.
  • Current DOT physical required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and colleagues.
  • Math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure.
Work Environment:

The Feed Truck Driver will work in a fast-paced environment, frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
