Electrical Maintenance Specialist

The Electrical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in our industrial facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including power distribution substations, computer circuits, and fiber optics systems.
- Conduct lock-out and tag-out procedures to secure switchgear and deactivate equipment.
- Administer checks on local switch points to ensure proper lock-out procedures are used.
- Dismantle equipment or devices to gain access to and remove defective parts or components.
- Use various types of test equipment, such as ammeters, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks, including manually moving materials, tools, and equipment, and using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure work areas are clean and safe, and communicate with personnel regarding maintenance activities.
- At least 48 months of experience in industrial electrical construction.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code and basic safety practices.
- Ability to pass a drug test and attend safety training education.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb 30-foot ladders, and work at heights.
