Join Our Team as a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Central Kitsap

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dedicated team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Perform venipuncture and administer SQ fluids, medications, and other treatments
  • Work closely with technical staff to ensure patients receive the best possible care
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide discharge instructions
  • Complete estimates, basic record keeping, and other administrative tasks
  • Recover patients from anesthesia and assist with dentistry and dental radiographs
  • Process laboratory samples and prepare them for outside labs
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging and other tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • 6+ months experience as a Veterinary Assistant or currently enrolled in a Veterinary Assistant Program
