Concentra is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative services for disabled, injured, and diseased patients within our center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic physical therapy and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care services, including evaluation and treatment of muscle, skeletal, neurological, and other physical problems.
- Support and encourage multidisciplinary coordination of treatment to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Implement effective communication with patients, medical staff, and other departments to ensure coordinated efforts and optimal patient care.
- Develop and maintain physical therapy treatment programs to facilitate patient recovery and attainment of maximum physical potential.
- Educate patients on proper care and use of supports and exercise programs.
- Perform or delegate patient treatment, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, and hydrotherapy.
- Follow proper documentation and reporting procedures, securing prescriptions for each patient treated.
- Work closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care.
- Participate in professional development, attending center meetings and outside educational seminars.
- Communicate with Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager regarding patient progress, compliance, and estimated time frame until discharged from therapy.
- Participate in clinical instruction of university occupational therapy and/or occupational therapist assistant students.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of the rehabilitation quality management process and contribute to new and improved processes.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Masters' Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, preferred.
- Customarily a new graduate to at least five years of demonstrated experience in an orthopedic setting, with use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment.
- Ortho-outpatient experience, preferred.
