Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Hawthorne Foundation, Inc. as a School Age Program Therapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to students with disabilities in a school-age setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities in a school-age setting
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each student
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements

Requirements:
New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist
Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from a nationally accredited college or university
Qualifications must meet Medicaid eligibility standards
Ability and willingness to provide direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities
Sensitivity to the communication, academic, and social needs of students with developmental disabilities at all levels of independence

Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during work hours
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
Must function independently, have personal integrity, be flexible, and able to work effectively with other personnel
Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability
