Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Collect patient data to inform comprehensive care plans
  • Obtain vital signs, allergies, current medications, medical history, social history, family history, and chief complaint, and document them in the electronic medical record
  • Identify problems within the practice and communicate them to the manager
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department to ensure a safe patient care environment
  • Support all initiatives of the healthcare team and promote excellence in customer service
  • Collaborate with the PPM team to resolve clinical issues and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Perform and document direct patient and family-centered care according to nursing standards of practice
  • Prepare charts for providers to ensure necessary information is present before patient encounters
  • Provide routine nursing care and treatment to patients under the direction of the licensed healthcare provider
Requirements
  • Graduate of a practical nursing program
  • Displays knowledge of medications, their administration, and untoward effects
  • Current, unrestricted New York State practical nursing license
  • BLS certification within three months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • One year of post-licensure practice as a practical nurse
Physical Requirements

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Pay Range

$36.47

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
