Job Title: CDL Class A Driver

At Airgas, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Class A driver to join our team. As a CDL Class A driver, you will be responsible for safely delivering and picking up welding equipment, parts, and supplies to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc's health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure safe delivery of equipment, parts, supplies, and accessories to customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service when delivering or picking up orders.
  • Maintain DOT driver logs and DOT reports required for vehicles.
  • Assist with shop housekeeping and help technical personnel as needed around shop when not driving or assisting customers by servicing equipment.
  • Perform DOT safety inspections of fleet vehicle before operation.
  • Complete required paperwork prior to delivery and at time of pick up.
  • Demonstrate safe and courteous driving while on the road.
  • Complete trip reports and fuel tax reports monthly.
  • Help customers with any questions they might have pertaining to the operation or use of the equipment. Provide customers an overview of equipment operation if necessary.
  • Communicate with all branch staff.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Greater than one but up to two years related experience.
  • Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding applications and equipment an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Commercial Driver's License (for CDL vehicles) preferred.
  • Forklift Training.
